HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:
SECTION 1: [Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, Schedule C]
1 Schedule C of the Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, S.B.C. 2000, c. 17, is amended
(a) by repealing the description of Beatton Park,
(b) by repealing the name of Chilliwack Lake Park and substituting the following:
SXÓTSAQEL / CHILLIWACK LAKE PARK ,
(c) by repealing the description of Echo Lake Park and substituting the following:
ECHO LAKE PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in Osoyoos Division, Yale District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 9 Tube 2021.
The whole park containing approximately 219 hectares. ,
(d) in the description of Ellison Park by striking out everything after "except" and before "The whole park" and substituting "Eastside Road as shown on Plan EPP94824." and by striking out "(198 hectares of upland and 22 hectares of foreshore)",
(e) in the description of Garibaldi Park by striking out "Plan 10 Tube 1986" and substituting "Plan 2 Tube 2022" and by striking out "188 661 hectares" and substituting "188 667 hectares",
(f) in the description of Goat Range Park
(i) by striking out everything after "except" and before "The whole park" and substituting "(1) the Balfour-Kaslo-Galena Bay Highway No. 31 as shown on Plan 674P; (2) Bridge Street as shown on Plan 892; (3) those parts of District Lot 5704 shown as road on Plans EPP68064, EPP75369, EPP75370 and EPP75371; (4) that part of District Lot 17191 shown as road on Plan EPP80429; (5) that part of District Lot 189 shown as road on Plan EPP68063; (6) the part of 3rd Street Plan 892 lying south of Lot A Plan 892; (7) the part of 1st Street Plan 892 lying north of that part of District Lot 5704 shown as road on Plan EPP68064 and south of that part of District Lot 5704 shown as road on Plan EPP75369; (8) the part of Riverside Avenue Plan 892 lying north of that part of District Lot 17191 shown as road on Plan EPP80429 and south of both Bridge Street Plan 892 and that part of District Lot 5704 shown as road on Plan EPP68064; (9) the forest service roads Craig Creek FSR 8432, Healy Creek FSR 7051 and Hope Creek FSR 9600.", and
(ii) by striking out "79 124 hectares" and substituting "79 123 hectares",
(g) by adding the following description:
HWSALU-UTSUM PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered in water, situated in Helmcken District and Malahat District and contained within the following described boundaries:
Lot A, Blocks 291 and 932, as shown on Plan EPP79926.
The whole park containing approximately 143 hectares. ,
(h) by repealing the description of Lakelse Lake Park and substituting the following:
LAKELSE LAKE PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in Range 5, Coast District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 1 Tube 2019.
The whole park containing approximately 350 hectares. ,
(i) by repealing the description of Moberly Lake Park and substituting the following:
MOBERLY LAKE PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in Peace River District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 10 Tube 2022.
The whole park containing approximately 99 hectares. , and
(j) by repealing the name of Newcastle Island Marine Park and substituting the following:
SAYSUTSHUN (NEWCASTLE ISLAND MARINE) PARK .
SECTION 2: [Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, Schedule C] repeals the description of Elk Falls Park, which is replaced with the description added by this Bill to Schedule D of the Act.
2 Schedule C is amended by repealing the description of Elk Falls Park.
SECTION 3: [Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, Schedule D]
3 Schedule D is amended
(a) by adding the following description:
BEATTON PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in the Peace River District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 3 Tube 2021.
The whole park containing approximately 363 hectares. ,
(b) in the description of Bonaparte Park by striking out "Plan 14 Tube 1902" and substituting "Plan 1 Tube 2022" and by striking out "11 833 hectares" and substituting "13 541 hectares",
(c) by repealing the description of Chasm Park and substituting the following:
CHASM PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in Lillooet District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 4 Tube 2022.
The whole park containing approximately 3 246 hectares. ,
(d) by repealing the description of Dragon Mountain Park and substituting the following:
DRAGON MOUNTAIN PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in Cariboo District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 10 Tube 2021.
The whole park containing approximately 1 773 hectares. ,
(e) in the description of Granby Park by striking out "Plan 2 Tube 1928" and substituting "Plan 5 Tube 2021" and by striking out "41 156 hectares" and substituting "41 317 hectares",
(f) in the description of Mount Robson Park by striking out "Plans 18825 and 18826;" and substituting "Plans 18825 and 18826, except that part shown as closed road on Plan EPP98087;" and by striking out "225 285 hectares" and substituting "225 286 hectares",
(g) in the description of Purcell Wilderness Conservancy Park
(i) by striking out "thence southerly along the westerly boundaries of District Lots 7449 and 7466 to the most northerly southwest corner of District Lot 7466, being a point on the easterly shore natural boundary of Kootenay Lake, and being the point of commencement." and substituting the following:
thence southerly along the westerly boundaries of District Lots 7449 and 7466 to the most northerly southwest corner of District Lot 7466, being a point on the easterly shore natural boundary of Kootenay Lake, and being the point of commencement;
except a 20 metre corridor offset from the westerly boundary of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of District Lot 7449, as shown on Plan NEP65953. , and
(ii) by striking out "198 120 hectares" and substituting "198 119 hectares", and
(h) in the description of Skaha Bluffs Park by striking out "Plan 10 Tube 2003" and substituting "Plan 6 Tube 2022" and by striking out "489 hectares" and substituting "554 hectares".
SECTION 4: [Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, Schedule D] adds a description of Elk Falls Park, which replaces the description repealed by this Bill from Schedule C of the Act.
4 Schedule D is amended by adding the following description:
ELK FALLS PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in Sayward District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 4 Tube 2021.
The whole park containing approximately 1 074 hectares.
SECTION 5: [Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, Schedule D] amends the description of Peace River Corridor Park and changes the size of the park consequential to the amendment.
5 Schedule D is amended by repealing the description of Peace River Corridor Park and substituting the following:
PEACE RIVER CORRIDOR PARK
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in Peace River District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 8 Tube 2022.
The whole park containing approximately 2 034 hectares.
SECTION 6: [Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, Schedule E] amends the description of Lucy Islands Conservancy and changes the size of the conservancy consequential to the amendments.
6 Schedule E is amended by repealing the description of Lucy Islands Conservancy and substituting the following:
LUCY ISLANDS CONSERVANCY
All those parcels or tracts of Crown land, together with all that foreshore or land covered by water, situated in Range 5, Coast District and contained within the described boundaries as shown on the Official Plan deposited in the Crown Land Registry as Plan 3 Tube 2022.
The whole conservancy containing approximately 338 hectares (31 hectares of upland and 307 hectares of foreshore).
SECTION 7: [Rescission of protected area] rescinds the establishment by order in council of a protected area.
7 The establishment of the Elk Falls Protected Area by Order in Council 469/2014 is rescinded.
8 The provisions of this Act referred to in column 1 of the following table come into force as set out in column 2 of the table:

SECTION 6: [Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, Schedule E] amends the description of Lucy Islands Conservancy and changes the size of the conservancy consequential to the amendments.
SECTION 7: [Rescission of protected area] rescinds the establishment by order in council of a protected area.
