HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

1 Schedule 1 of the Electoral Districts Act, S.B.C. 2015, c. 39, is amended by striking out "Peace River North" and substituting "Peace River-Northern Rockies".

Consequential Amendments

2 (1) If the name of a constituency association for the electoral district named "Peace River North" refers to "Peace River North", the name of the constituency association is, without further action, changed to refer to "Peace River-Northern Rockies" instead of "Peace River North".

(2) A reference to any Act, other than this Act, or in any regulation, rule, order, by-law, agreement or other instrument or document, to the electoral district named "Peace River North", shall be read, unless the context otherwise requires, as a reference to the electoral district named "Peace River-Northern Rockies".

(3) A registration under the Election Act before the commencement of this subsection for or in relation to the electoral district named "Peace River North" shall be deemed to be a registration for or in relation to the electoral district named "Peace River-Northern Rockies", and the Chief Electoral Officer shall change the registry accordingly.

(4) A publication under the Election Act before the commencement of this subsection for or in relation to the electoral district named "Peace River North" shall be deemed to be a publication for or in relation to the electoral district named "Peace River-Northern Rockies".
