HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:
This Bill would amend the Election Act to change the voting age in British Columbia to 16.
1 Section 29 (b) of the Election Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 106, is amended by striking out "18 years of age" and substituting "16 years of age".
2 Section 31 is amended in paragraphs (1) (b) (i) and (ii) by striking out "18 years of age" and substituting "16 years of age".
This Bill would amend the Election Act to change the voting age in British Columbia to 16.
