SUPPLY ACT (No. 1), 1995

Preamble

WHEREAS it appears by Message from the Honourable the Lieutenant Governor and the Estimates accompanying the Message that provision is required to defray certain expenses of the public service of the Province, and for other purposes connected with the public service, for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1996;

AND WHEREAS, in accordance with the Financial Administration Act, expenditures by Special Warrants of $199 558 000 in respect ofthe fiscal year ending March 31, 1995, have been submitted to the Legislature in the Schedule of this Act;

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

Voted expenditures appropriation

1 From and out of the consolidated revenue fund there may be paid and applied in the manner and at the times the government may determine the sum of $4 billion, 965 million towards defraying the charges and expenses of the public service of the Province for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1996, and being substantially 1/4 of the total amount of the votes of the main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1996, as laid before the Legislative Assembly at the present session.

Voted financing transactions appropriation

2 From and out of the consolidated revenue fund there may be paid and applied in the manner and at the times the government may determine the sum of $773 016 000 for recoverable disbursements required for the purposes referred to in Schedule C of the main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1996.

Working capital account appropriation

3 From and out of the consolidated revenue fund there may be paid and applied in the manner and at the times the government may determine the sum of $28 million to the Purchasing Commission Working Capital Account estab lished under section 23.1 of the Purchasing Commission Act, being the amount shown for this purpose in the main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 1996, as laid before the Legislative Assembly at the present session.

March 6, 1995	6	HEALTH To supplement Vote 43, Ministry Operations, to provide funding: to the Medical Services Plan for higher fee-for-service and alternative payments to physicians, and lower than budgeted recoveries from the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia for physician services; to Corporate Programs for Pharmacare, emergency health care services and debt servicing; and Regional Programs for hospitals and community support services.	135 660 000
