Corrections to Ministry of Finance statutes

1 The following statutes are corrected as set out in the attached Schedule:

(a) British Columbia Railway Finance Act;

(b) Business Number Act;

(d) Financial Administration Act;

(e) Financial Institutions Act;

(f) Partnership Act;

(g) Pension Benefits Standards Act;

(h) Personal Property Security Act;

(i) Special Accounts Appropriation and Control Act.

1 Section 17 of the British Columbia Railway Finance Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 37, is amended by striking out "section 36 (2)" and substituting "section 40 (4)".

2 Section 4 of the Business Number Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 50, is repealed and the following substituted:

Public body agreements

4 The minister may enter into an agreement or arrangement with one or more of the following bodies respecting the use by the body of the system of business numbers established or adopted under section 3:

(a) a ministry of the government of British Columbia or an agent of the government;

(b) a government corporation, as defined in the Financial Administration Act;

(d) a board, commission, association or other body designated by regulation.

3 Section 128 (2) (b) (i) of the Cooperative Association Act, S.B.C. 1999, c. 28, is amended by striking out "subsidiiaries" and substituting "subsidiaries".

4 Section 1 of the Financial Administration Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 138, is amended in paragraph (c) of the definition of "government body" by striking out "and".

5 Section 248 (5) of the Financial Institutions Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 141, is amended by striking out "An administrator appointed under subsection (4) of a central credit union" and substituting "An administrator of a central credit union, appointed under subsection (2),".

6 Section 51 (2) (e) of the Partnership Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 348, is amended by striking out "aggregrate" and substituting "aggregate".

7 Section 43.1 (3) (b) of the Pension Benefits Standards Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 352, is amended by striking out "Winding-up Act (Canada)" and substituting "Winding-up and Restructuring Act (Canada)".

8 Section 48 (6) (b) is amended by striking out "that part of plan" and substituting "that part of the plan".

9 Section 20 (b) (ii) of the Personal Property Security Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 359, is amended by striking out "Winding-up Act (Canada)" and substituting "Winding-up and Restructuring Act (Canada)".

10 Section 5 (2) (b) (v) of the Special Accounts Appropriation and Control Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 436, is amended by striking out "the contravention and" and substituting "the contravention;".
