Corrections to Ministry of Agriculture and Lands statutes

1 The following statutes are corrected as set out in the attached Schedule:

(a) Fisheries Act;

(b) Land Title Act.

Schedule

Fisheries Act

1 Section 8 (2) (c) of the Fisheries Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 149, is amended by striking out "Immigration Act (Canada)" and substituting "Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada)".

Land Title Act

2 Section 73 (1) (b) of the Land Title Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 250, is repealed and the following substituted:

(b) leasing it, or agreeing to lease it, for life or for a term exceeding 3 years.

3 Section 168.1 is amended in the definition of "transferor" by striking out "a an instrument" and substituting "an instrument".

4 Section 322 is amended

(a) by repealing the definition of "parcel", and

(b) in paragraph (b) of the definition of "proper officer" by striking out "the Provincial Assessor of the assessment district within which the land is located;" and substituting "the Surveyor of Taxes;".

5 Section 360 (1) and (2) is amended by striking out "the Provincial Assessor" and substituting "the Surveyor of Taxes".
