RATIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP
OF SELECT STANDING
AND SPECIAL COMMITTEES

Hon. M. de Jong: From time to time, when the House is not in session, it becomes necessary to alter the membership on the select standing committees and special committees that are undertaking work. When that happens, the hon. Opposition House Leader and I agree to those changes by virtue of an exchange of letters between us. The motion I seek leave to introduce and pass now would ratify those changes that have taken place over the course of the past number of months.

By leave, I move:

[That the written agreements between the Government House Leader, Hon. Michael de Jong, MLA, and the Opposition House Leader, Mike Farnworth, MLA, be ratified, setting forth the following changes to the membership of various Select Standing Committees and the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commissioner for the 5th Session of the 40th Parliament:

Melanie Mark, MLA shall replace Doug Donaldson, MLA, and Don McRae, MLA shall replace Hon. Donna Barnett, MLA as Members of the Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth;

John Yap, MLA shall replace Hon. Donna Barnett, MLA as a Member of the Select Standing Committee on Health;

Dan Ashton, MLA shall replace Greg Kyllo, MLA as a Member of the Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts; and

Leonard Eugene Krog, MLA shall replace Kathy Corrigan, MLA as a Member of the Special Committee to Appoint an Information and Privacy Commissioner.]

Motion approved.
