By-Election Results
Clerk of the House: Madame Speaker, the House was advised on July 25, 2013, of the result of the by-election in the electoral district of Westside-Kelowna, and the said result was ordered to be entered upon the Journals of the House.
It is my duty to further advise the House that Christy Clark, member for Westside-Kelowna, has sworn the oath, signed the parliamentary roll and is entitled to take her seat.

Hon. J. Guichon (Lieutenant-Governor): Madame Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, in closing this first session of the 40th parliament of British Columbia, on behalf of all British Columbians I wish to express my appreciation for the care and attention you have given to your deliberations and the service you have provided to our great and beautiful province. I now relieve you of your duties.
Her Honour the Lieutenant-Governor retired from the chamber.

Hon. S. Anton: Madame Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly, it is Her Honour the Lieutenant-Governor's will and pleasure that the Legislative Assembly be prorogued until two o'clock today. This Legislative Assembly is hereby prorogued accordingly.
