The House met at 2:00 p.m.

On the motion of the Honourable L.R. Peterson, Bill (No. 98), intituled An Act to Amend the Legal Professions Act was introduced, read a first time, and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for second reading at the next sitting after today.

The Honourable F.X. Richter presented to Mr. Speaker a Message from His Honour the Lieutenant-Governor.

On the motion of Mr. Richter, Bill. (No. 86) intituled Sunshine Comstock Mines Limited (Non-personal Liability) Mineral Claims Act was introduced, read a first time, and Ordered to be placed on the Orders of the Day for second reading at the next sitting after today.

Pursuant to Order, the House again resolved itself into the Committee of Supply.

The committee rose, reported Resolutions 170 to 178, inclusive (Estimates of the Department of Mines and Petroleum Resources) and 42 to 45, inclusive (Estimates of the Department of Commercial Transport) and asked leave to sit again at the next sitting.

By leave of the House, on the motion of the Honourable W.A.C. Bennett, the House continued to sit after 6:00 p.m.

The Honourable R.G. Williston (Minister of Lands, Forests, and Water Resources) presented the Annual Report of the Forest Service for the year ended December 31, 1970.

The House proceeded to the Order "Presenting Reports by Standing and Special Committees."

Mr. J.D. Tisdalle presented Report No. 1 of the Select Standing Committee on Social Welfare and Education. The report was taken as read and received.

The House adjourned at 6: 15 p.m.
