The Chair called the Committee to order at 8:00 a.m.

Resolved, that the Committee meet in camera to consider its review of policing and related systemic issues. (Karin Kirkpatrick, MLA)

The Committee met in camera from 8:01 a.m. to 10:09 a.m.

The Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair at 10:09 a.m.

D. Routley (Chair): Members, I’ll call the meeting of the special committee to reform the Police Act to order.

I’ll thankfully acknowledge the territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋin̓əŋ-speaking peoples, Esquimalt and Songhees.

Getting the meeting underway, I’d ask for a motion to move the meeting in camera.

Motion approved.
