Deliberations

B. D’Eith (Chair): I’d like to welcome everyone to the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services.

Before we get started, I did want to take a moment to recognize that I’m on the traditional territory of the Katzie and Kwantlen First Nations, and all the members are throughout the province in their ridings and on their First Nations territories. We just want to acknowledge that and also to acknowledge the particularly difficult time that our First Nations are having, especially in rural and remote areas.

I also wanted to recognize the nine statutory officers who did their interim reports for us in a very difficult time and who showed an incredible amount of resiliency. Members, we will be getting a report soon on that to review.

Of course, I thank the Clerks and all the members for their work on that.

B. D’Eith (Chair): If I could have a motion to go in camera, please.

D. Barnett: So moved.

Motion approved.

The committee continued in camera from 11:01 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.

[B. D’Eith in the chair.]

B. D’Eith (Chair): We are out of in camera.

If I could get a motion to adjourn, please.

R. Leonard: So moved.

Motion approved.

The committee adjourned at 11:20 a.m.
