The Chair called the Committee to order at 3:01 p.m.
2.
Resolved, that the Committee meet in camera to deliberate on its draft report to the House. (Ronna‑Rae Leonard, MLA)
3.
The Committee met in camera from 3:02 p.m. to 3:38 p.m.
4.
The Committee continued in public session at 3:38 p.m.
5.
Resolved, that the Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth approve and adopt the report entitled Children and Youth with Neuro-diverse Special Needs as amended today and further, that the Committee authorize the Chair and Deputy Chair to work with Committee staff to finalize any further editorial changes to complete the supporting text. Resolved, that the Chair of the Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth present the Committee’s report entitled Children and Youth with Neuro-diverse Special Needs to the Legislative Assembly at the earliest available opportunity. (Michelle Stilwell, MLA)

N. Simons (Chair): Good afternoon, Members and Clerk and Research.

It’s our opportunity to have another look at our report, which, as you have seen, contains the corrections or edits that we’ve made.

We will discuss these changes in camera.

R. Leonard: A motion to go in camera.

N. Simons (Chair): Ronna-Rae. Seconded, Laurie.

The committee continued in camera from 3:02 p.m. to 3:38 p.m.

N. Simons (Chair): Thank you, committee members. I will repeat my thanks and appreciation for all your hard work. I think we have a very good, comprehensive report that we hope government will peruse and learn from and help define their policies with the assistance of our work.

With that, we have a couple of motions to formalize this report.

Committee Report to the House

REPORT ON CHILDREN AND YOUTH
WITH NEURODIVERSE SPECIAL NEEDS

R. Leonard: I’d like to move:

[That the Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth approve and adopt the report entitled Children and Youth with Neuro-diverse Special Needs as amended today and further, that the Committee authorize the Chair and Deputy Chair to work with Committee staff to finalize any further editorial changes to complete the supporting text.]

Motion approved.

M. Stilwell (Deputy Chair): I move:
