Unavoidably Absent: Eric Foster, MLA
1. The Chair called the Committee to order at 8:40 a.m.
2. Resolved, that the Committee meet in-camera to deliberate on its draft report to the House. (Jackie Tegart, MLA)
3. The Committee met in-camera from 8:40 a.m. to 8:55 a.m.
4. The Committee continued in public session at 8:55 a.m.
5. Resolved, that the Special Committee to Review the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act approve and adopt the Report of the Committee as amended today and further, that the Committee authorize the Chair and Deputy Chair to work with committee staff to finalize any minor editorial changes to complete the supporting text. 6. Resolved, that the Chair present the Committee’s Report to the Legislative Assembly at the earliest available opportunity. (Doug Routley, MLA)
7. The Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair at 8:56 a.m.

D. McRae (Chair): Good morning. Welcome to the Special Committee to Review the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Today is Tuesday, May 3, 2016. It is 8:40 in the morning in the Birch Committee Room. I ask for a motion to go in camera.
J. Tegart: So moved.
D. McRae (Chair): Moved and seconded. We are now in camera.
The committee continued in camera from 8:40 a.m. to 8:55 a.m.

D. McRae (Chair): We’re out of in camera, and I’m looking for some motions from members.
Committee Report to the House
J. Tegart: I move that the Special Committee to Review the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act approve and adopt the report of the committee as amended today and, further, that the committee authorize the Chair and Deputy Chair to work with the committee staff to finalize any minor editorial changes to complete the supporting text.
D. McRae (Chair): Moved by Tegart. Do we need a seconder? Seconded by Routley.
Motion approved.
D. McRae (Chair): There’s another motion on the table.
D. Routley (Deputy Chair): I move that the Chair present the committee’s report to the Legislative Assembly at the earliest available opportunity.
D. McRae (Chair): Moved by Routley, seconded by Yap.
Motion approved.
D. McRae (Chair): Excellent motion there, Deputy Chair.
I guess we now need a motion to adjourn.
