1. There not yet being a Chair elected to serve the Committee, the meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by the Deputy Clerk and Clerk of Committees.
2. Resolved, that Bruce Ralston, MLA, be elected Chair of the Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts. (Selina Robinson, MLA)
3. Resolved, that Sam Sullivan, MLA, be elected Deputy Chair of the Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts. (Linda Reimer, MLA)
4. The Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair at 4:31 p.m.

Election of Chair and Deputy Chair
K. Ryan-Lloyd (Deputy Clerk and Clerk of Committees): Good afternoon, Members. As there has not yet been a Chair elected to serve the Select Standing Committee on Public Accounts for this current third session of the 40th parliament, the first item of business is the election of Chair. I would like to open the floor to nominations for that position.
S. Robinson: I nominate Bruce.
K. Ryan-Lloyd (Clerk of Committees): Okay, thank you.
Bruce, would you accept nomination?
B. Ralston: I do.
K. Ryan-Lloyd (Clerk of Committees): Okay. Are there any further nominations? Any further nominations? Any further nominations?
Seeing no further nominations, I will put the question.
Motion approved.
[B. Ralston in the chair.]
B. Ralston (Chair): Thank you.
The next item is the election of the Deputy Chair. I'll declare nominations open for the position of Deputy Chair.
L. Reimer: I nominate Sam Sullivan.
B. Ralston (Chair): Moved and seconded.
Any further nominations, once? Any further nominations, twice? Any further nominations, three times? It's closed.
Do you accept, Sam?
S. Sullivan: Yes.
B. Ralston (Chair): Okay, I'll put the question.
Motion approved.
B. Ralston (Chair): A motion to adjourn is in order.
