TUESDAY, APRIL 17, 2007

The committee met at 10:06 a.m.

           [R. Austin in the chair.]

           R. Austin (Chair): Good morning. We're here today in the Birch Room to have a briefing from Stuart MacKay and Fiona Cochrane of MMK Consulting on the final report. I'd like to begin by asking for a motion to go in camera.

The committee continued in camera from 10:06 a.m. to 11:22 a.m.

           R. Austin (Chair): On behalf of the committee, I'd like to thank both of you for coming here today and sharing this with us. We'll expect the final, final report to be sent to us in the near future. That report will be made public, along with our recommendations, when we release our final report to the Legislature. Thanks again.

One second. Just before we leave, I'd just like to do one other little piece of business. We're going to be starting our deliberations very shortly, and I think it would be easier if we could all maybe send our ideas both to me as the Chair and to Craig so that we can at least put our ideas into categories to start the debate about our final recommendations. So I'm asking all members here to e-mail and cc Craig on all of your initial ideas to put on the table to start this process.

           R. Cantelon (Deputy Chair): If I may amend that, I assume that would be the executive committee. Is that appropriate too?

           R. Austin (Chair): Sure. Okay, thank you very much. Can we have a motion to adjourn?

The committee adjourned at 11:24 a.m.
